Animals sounds are here and there and are a good touch to the tracks. This cd is great. Has four tracks and they have sounds of high surfs and low tides with sounds of pebbles hitting the beach. NO MUSIC in this cd. Recommended.
The ocean sounds are nice to fall asleep but the bird screeching wakes you back up. If anyone knows of a CD that leaves out the birds, let me know. Thanks.
I have come to the end of my search. This has become a huge favorite of my patients.
I wanted soft waves, lapping on the shoreline. I have been SEARCHING for a simple nature CD, waves but not annoying, over-powering, loud, crashing waves.
So soothing that even I (the massage therapist) begin to feel drowsy. No annoying birds, flutes, etc.
This is just what I have been searching for. They love it for it's relaxing, soothing sound.
Yeah.
I love Nature Sounds, especially the Ocean.I also have the Sounds of Nature Series by Chuck Plaisance. I like the entire Sounds of Nature Series. His version of OCEAN WAVES (Sounds of Nature Series) is supberb. 3-D sound and excellent quality. On the Sampler you can hear excerpts from all 20 albums. Sounds of Nature Sampler.
I'm grateful to have them.Kathleen M. I'm actually planning to send it back.If you have "Morning Songbirds" and dislike it, don't let it discourage you from trying "Thunderstorm" and "Ocean Waves." I can see myself wearing these out with daily use.
What I was seeking is relaxing nature sound CDs that are REALISTIC, don't contain music, and are void of sudden irritating sounds that don't seem to fit in with the rest of the CD - such as a sudden loud bird "squawk." (if you know what I mean).I give both "Thunderstorm" and "Ocean Waves" 5 stars - I love them. They work for me, and are exactly what I wanted.
I just received this CD as well as "Morning Songbirds." I already owned "Thunderstorm," which is what sparked me to seek and find what other CDs Echos of Nature had available. Didn't sound natural, or relaxing, to me.
If there Are repeating tracks in them, as some reviewers say, they are not anything I would notice (and I think I'm pretty discerning)."Morning Songbirds," on the other hand, is not at all what I hoped for. In fact, I listened to less than half and had to shut it off because I found one repetitive bird too annoying, like a broken record.
I'll play them to meditate, to fall asleep, to have in the background while writing or doing housework, and just for the "take me away" aspect they give me. Diehl, author of The Collective AwakeningThe Collective Awakening: Messages Along the Path of Awareness
